In this bilingual peer review, bilingual interviewers receive and give feedback in their shared languages (e.g., English and Spanish) to enhance their skills across linguistic and cultural contexts. This type of peer review is critical for maintaining accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and consistency in interviews, especially for cases where children may be more comfortable communicating in a language other than English.

Participation in peer review provides forensic interviewers with an opportunity to review forensic interviews, discuss specific interview techniques, provide feedback regarding the quality of documentation, and review relevant research. Peer review complements but does not replace supervision, multidisciplinary case review, and case planning.
