This training is taking place virtually on April 21, 23 and 25th from 9-4:30pm CST. Attendees must be present all three days.

This training meets all essential components (24 hours) in the 2023 National Children’s Alliance (NCA) Standard of Victim Advocacy. This training is being facilitated by First Witness Child Advocacy Center. Please note this same training was offered in June 2023 and called, Virtual Advocacy Core Basics. 

Through hands-on practice, participants will learn how to put advocacy principles into action, including: conducting a focus group to improve programming, changing organizations and systems and creating programs and interventions that meet victims’ needs.  Participants will practice skills for effective crisis intervention and advocacy, problem solving and decision making around the toughest issues in advocacy work. 

This training caps at 30 individuals. Registration will close Friday April at 11th or when the registration hits 30 registrants, whichever occurs first.
