Description

This training, formerly titled How to Best Support Kids at Trial, is designed for prosecuting attorneys and forensic interviewers, as well as anyone seeking a more in-depth cross-training or refresher on the court process. Participants will gain valuable information on pretrial motions relevant to forensic interviews and CAC cases, including 115-10 and other hearsay motions, the use of facility dogs, closed-circuit television, and more. The training also covers expert and fact witness testimony, along with strategies for preparing children and forensic interviewers to testify. Additionally, attendees will learn how to collaborate effectively to present and defend the forensic interview in court.

 

This training will be provided by Lauren Walker of the Lake County State's Attorney's office and Lynn Aladeen.
