We’re excited to invite you to the first Forensic Interviewer Conference, taking place September 1–2, 2026, at Heartland Community College in Normal, IL. This conference is open to all CAC-employed Forensic Interviewers from across Illinois for 1.5 days of learning, connection, and collaboration. The event will conclude at 12:30 PM on September 2, allowing attendees plenty of time to travel home that afternoon.

What’s Included: Hotel accommodations for the nights of August 31 and September 1 will be provided and covered by CACI. Breakfast will be provided each morning by the hotel. Snacks will also be available throughout the conference courtesy of CACI. Lunch will be on your own each day.

Session topics to include: prosecutor perspectives, interviewing victims of human trafficking and online exploitation, understanding recantation dynamics, maximizing the value of pre- and post-interview multidisciplinary discussions, leveraging peer review for professional growth, and strategies for recognizing and managing vicarious trauma.

NOTE: For events where CACI covers hotel accommodations, written cancellations must be submitted via email to [email protected] at least 7 days prior to the scheduled event. If written cancellation is not received within 7 days, the registrant or their organization will be responsible for covering the cost of the hotel booked under the registrant's name.

Written cancellations must be submitted via email to [email protected] at least 14 days prior to the scheduled event to be eligible for a refund, minus a 5% processing fee. Transferability: Registrations can be transferred to another qualified applicant within the same organization. No Refunds: No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 14 days before the event or for "no-shows" who fail to attend. Event Cancellation by CACI: If CACI cancels the event for any reason, 100% of the registration fee will be refunded.
