Listening Session to Inform Outreach to Children and Youth Victims of Human Trafficking (Urban) - September 16th

Description

The Outreach Subcommittee of the Joint Human Trafficking Work Group is creating best practice guidelines for those doing outreach with trafficked and high risk*-children and youth. These guidelines will include material specific to urban, suburban, and rural areas of the state. In order to ensure the guidelines take into consideration the actual experiences and needs of the target population, the Outreach Subcommittee is holding listening sessions with those coming into direct contact with these children and youth in the respective areas. Each session is virtual, one-hour long, and will be facilitated by consultants with lived experience. Participants can include any service providers, law enforcement, prosecutors, forensic interviewers, advocates, child welfare workers, and juvenile justice personnel.

 

Please only attend a session from your identified area:

1. City of Chicago

2. Suburban Chicagoland Suburban Cook County (Cook not including City of Chicago) 5 collar counties surrounding Cook: DuPage, Lake, Will, Kane, McHenry

3. Urban (counties, excluding Cook, that correspond with small cities): Winnebago, Peoria, Sangamon,  St. Clair, Madison, Champaign, and McLean

4. Rural Illinois: All remaining counties not noted above
